If our Invisalign quote looks higher than another office's, it's usually because ours is the whole price. Tanglewood charges one flat fee that covers your aligners, your retainer, any TADs Dr. Lawnin decides you need, and every step in between. Many offices quote the aligners alone and bill the rest as you go.
Your fee is set at your consultation, and that number doesn't change partway through treatment. Here's what it covers, and how to compare it fairly with other quotes.
A lower Invisalign quote often covers the aligners and little else. The rest arrives later, once you're already committed to treatment. The most common add-ons are:
None of these are unusual. They're a normal part of many aligner cases. The difference is whether they're priced into the quote you see at the start.
At Tanglewood, everything Dr. Lawnin decides your case needs is in the one price:
If Dr. Lawnin adds a TAD halfway through, your teeth need a round of refinements, or you need a retainer at the finish, there's no second bill. The number you agree to at the start is the number you pay.
Two reasons. First, you can plan for it. You know the full cost before you start, so there's nothing to budget around later.
Second, it keeps the clinical decisions clean. When a TAD or a round of refinements is already included, Dr. Lawnin can recommend it purely because your case calls for it. You never have to weigh a better result against another invoice halfway through treatment.
That's why our quote can look higher at first glance. It already contains the costs that show up later elsewhere.
To compare two quotes on equal terms, ask every office the same questions:
Add the answers to the base quote. That total is the number to compare with ours.
We charge one flat fee, set at your consultation. It includes your aligners, any refinements, your retainer and any TADs Dr. Lawnin uses, so there are no add-on charges later.
Because it includes costs that many offices bill separately, like the retainer and TADs. Once you add those to a lower quote, the totals are often much closer.
At Tanglewood, yes. At some offices it's a separate charge after treatment, so ask before you compare.
A TAD, or temporary anchorage device, is a small temporary anchor that gives certain tooth movements a fixed point to push against. Not every case needs one. When yours does, it's included in our fee.
